We believe that every child is unique and learns in their own way and at their own pace. Our curriculum is designed to foster a love of learning and a sense of curiosity in our young children. We create a nurturing and supportive environment that encourages children to explore and discover the world around them.
Throughout their time with us children will be guided by our experience staff to ensure that they are supported to develop key skills that will enable them to become successful learners and be ready socially, emotionally, physically, as well as being effective communicators for their journey into school.
By provide a range of stimulating activities we encourage our children to develop life long skills that will help them thrive.
I live with my husband and our four children just around the corner from the nursery. I finished work as a Nursery Nurse in September 2005 in order to stay at home with Toby, our first child, but also because it has always been my aspiration to set up my own business looking after children. Initially starting as a childminder the business has grown to the setting that it is today.
As a Nursery nurse I am experienced in working with younger children in a nursery environment
and I have also worked with older children in a primary school Reception class. I have worked
with the Early Learning Goals and the Foundation Stage Profile and understand the
importance of providing a stimulating environment with a good balance of child led free play and planned activities.
In 2006 we had an extension on the side of our house to create a purpose built playroom that
has been designed with the children in mind and offers a large child friendly space.
In 2010 we added another extension to the front of the house to create a children’s toilet/changing area.
In 2012 we had the conservatory built onto the house to create another room and created a seperate dining area.
In July 2010 we registered as Childcare on Domestic premises and have gradually increased our numbers of staff and children over the past years and in 2016 on the birth of Rosie our 4th child we moved out in to our own family home just around the corner.
I now work with six other members of staff and we offer 18 childcare places each day.
We offer the funding for 2, 3 and 4 year old funded places and accept taxfree childcare.
Our team of staff are highly trained and experienced in early childhood education. They are passionate about working with young children and creating a positive and engaging learning environment. They work closely with parents to ensure that each child receives the individual attention and support they need to thrive.
Our setting is located in a small homely environment that is spacious and bright , a large indoor play area, consisting of rooms and a small toileting area. We have continuous access to core activities. This includes sand and water trays, junk modelling, painting, train sets, cars and garage, dolls and role play activities.
There are also book corners with comfy bean bags, role play area, mark making area
and much more which they can choose independently.
We have a beautiful outdoor space with covered decking area, a large sandpit, artificial grass, cycle path, climbing frame, planting area and much more.
We provide a variety of materials and activities daily that encourage exploration and discovery, and we maintain a clean and organised environment that fosters a sense of calm and focus.
